How to build a content builder in Craft CMS

Posted on

Handing over a new CMS to a client with simply a single rich text field to author all of their content, does not give them the much flexibility and reliability to design their content. Just as we modularize our CSS and Javascript, we want to break down our pieces of content into their own modules.

As we see in the screenshot above, I have eight content modules that are available for authoring content on my site. Each of those modules has options to add optional sub content and positioning options.

I have found this to be a great tool to give the client enough freedom while preserving the integrity of the design.
